Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo

Covid-19 Economic
Relief Grant

For American Indian and Alaskan Native
Individuals and Businesses

The Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP) has received Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) funding from the U.S. Department of the Treasury to assist its members (18 years of age and older and living anywhere in the United States or U.S. Territories) and any member of a federally recognized Indian tribe (18 years of age and older and whose primary residence is in the El Paso or Hudspeth counties, Texas) impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. YDSP will distribute these funds to both Tribal members and Tribal businesses to help with the costs and expenses associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding is eligible to cover the costs from March 2020 to December 2020. For example, funds may be used to help Tribal members pay for rent, utility bills, and/or food because you lost your job (including being laid off or furloughed), had your workhours reduced, or experienced loss of income from other sources. Funds may also help Tribal business owners with rent, payroll, utilities, and other expenses because they experienced a significant business interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic closures and any associated “stay-at-home” orders.

These funds are not a loan, but rather a grant program. If YDSP awards funding, you will NOT be required to pay the money back. YDSP is sponsoring two grant assistance programs—one for businesses and another for individual and/or family assistance. You may apply and be eligible for both programs so long as there is no duplication in your requests for funding.

After you complete an application, YDSP will assign you a caseworker or business specialist to assist you moving forward and to collect any additional documentation, if required. Please visit both the individual and business sections for further information and a link to the respective application.

Do I qualify to receive assistance?

If you and/or your business have experienced a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yes, you may qualify to receive assistance to help pay your rent, utilities, food, and other essentials.

Am i a business owner?
