Emergency Financial Assistance Grant

The Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP) has established the “COVID-19 YDSP Tribal Family & Individual Emergency Financial Assistance Grant” program to help YDSP Tribal members (18 years of age and older and living anywhere in the United States or U.S. Territories) or any member of a federally recognized Indian tribe (18 years of age and older and living in the El Paso or Hudspeth counties, Texas) impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. YDSP can provide economic support to American Indian and Alaskan Native person(s) who are directly affected by the COVID-19 disruption. In other words, YDSP can provide financial assistance to people who lost their jobs (including those laid off or furloughed), had workhours reduced, or experienced loss of income from other sources due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This assistance will help pay for rent, utilities, food, and other essential items. In order to receive assistance, applicants will need to fill out an application and submit documents to verify eligibility and need. These documents include, but are not limited to, Tribal enrollment cards, income verification, bills, bank statements, etc.

Qualified individuals may benefit from one or more of the following:

Tribal Family Support helps Tribal member families to offset costs related to childcare, medical and health care, and/or funeral services.

Household Security helps qualified Tribal families and individuals with mortgage payments, rental payments, utility payments, and/or food assistance.

Tigua EdTech Initiative will provide a FREE laptop computer to all qualified Tribal students.

You may receive assistance from March 2020 to December 2020 as long as you can demonstrate that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted you.
